Job summary

Oracle Data Center Operations seeks a Senior Data Center Operator I to support and escalate across Data Center Operations. The role blends hands-on technical work with exceptional writing and process engineering to maintain standards and drive operational excellence.

You will document runbooks, knowledge articles, and engineering standards, translating complex concepts for global audiences while improving workflows and introducing scalable processes that reduce risk and enable faster onboarding.

Qualifications

• Experience in data center operations, technical support, and/or engineering.
• Ability to diagnose issues, identify root cause, and deliver durable fixes.
• Experience creating technical documentation, runbooks, knowledge articles, and engineering standards.
• Experience applying Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvements to processes.
• Experience leading cross-functional process improvements in data center/cloud/infra environments.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical author and process engineer for Data Center Operations, creating and maintaining procedures and runbooks.
• Translate complex concepts into clear documentation for global audiences.
• Analyze workflows to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and standardization opportunities.
• Design and implement new operational processes to improve consistency and scalability.
• Collaborate with technicians, engineers, PMs, and SMEs to capture knowledge and convert it into procedures.
