CPG seeks a highly experienced Pre-Sales Engineer (Mechanical) to lead the design and support for data center mechanical systems, including AHUs, chillers, cooling towers, and distribution schemes. You will partner with sales and engineering to tailor solutions and drive project success.

The role emphasizes client-facing engagement, rigorous technical writing, and proven project leadership across large infrastructure deployments for mission-critical facilities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in mission-critical mechanical infrastructure and mechanical design.
• Extensive expertise in mission-critical mechanical systems, specifications, and deployment.
• Strong understanding of data center facility operations and mechanical distribution.
• Familiar with ASHRAE Thermal Guidelines.
• Advanced technical writing skills for documentation, proposals, and project specifications.
• Proven ability to lead projects from concept through execution, ensuring seamless integration and functionality.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to challenges.
• Comfortable communicating at all organizational levels, from field operations to C-suite executives.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert-level technical guidance for the design and implementation of mission-critical mechanical systems.
• Work closely with internal sales and engineering teams to develop tailored solutions for prospective and existing clients.
• Lead early-stage qualification, specification, and logistics planning for data center projects.
• Support estimating efforts by reviewing project specifications and coordinating with procurement teams.
• Develop comprehensive system configurations and integration plans to support optimal performance and reliability.
• Serve as a key liaison between clients and internal stakeholders, communicating complex technical concepts to audiences ranging from operations teams to executive leadership.
• Identify and pursue opportunities for cross-departmental collaboration to enhance service offerings and support business growth.
