Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Senior Data Center Mechanical Engineer (3PDC) to support third‑party data center projects with technical guidance and documentation updates during due diligence. The role requires collaboration with senior engineers across disciplines, and a strong focus on RAM analysis to optimize data center performance.

The position involves 25% travel and requires experience with large‑scale data center infrastructure and cross‑functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred with 8–10 years of solid experience.
• Experience with large-scale, complex data center infrastructure.
• Cross-disciplinary collaboration across structural, civil, IT/telecom, security, mechanical, electrical, and architectural teams.

Responsibilities

• Review third‑party data center sites for technical compliance and standards.
• Collaborate with teammates to plan, prioritize, and schedule objectives.
• Develop RAM analysis to optimize data center performance and efficiency.
• Review design documents for accuracy and compliance.
• Interface with clients to prepare project elements and presentations.
• Support senior engineers with documentation for contracts.
• Assist operations with day‑to‑day documentation questions and program standards.
• Identify optimization opportunities for standard engineering programs during due diligence.
• Coordinate mechanical design documentation for data center projects.
