Job summary

Salute Inc. is seeking a Critical Infrastructure SME to lead mechanical, electrical, controls and BMS operations for mission-critical data centers.

The role requires technical authority, troubleshooting prowess, and ability to guide maintenance, commissioning, and upgrades across a portfolio of facilities. The SME will mentor site teams, coordinate with operations, engineering, vendors, and customers, and drive reliability and efficiency improvements in high-availability environments.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited bachelor’s degree in engineering or engineering technology.
• Trade Certification or state license in Mechanical (HVAC).
• Data Center related certifications (DCCA/CMCO).
• Familiarity with NFPA and ASHRAE standards.
• Background in the data center industry.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical expert for critical mechanical, electrical, controls, and BMS infrastructure.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for facility issues.
• Develop, review, and improve maintenance procedures and emergency response protocols.
• Support commissioning, retrofits, capacity expansions, and infrastructure projects.
• Train and mentor operations teams on system functionality and troubleshooting.
• Review system trends to identify efficiency and reliability improvements.
• Collaborate with customers, vendors, and stakeholders to meet objectives.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
