Job summary

HITACHI ENERGY USA INC is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead large-scale data center infrastructure projects across North America, coordinating SAS, SCADA, Protection & Control, and E-House deployments. You will own schedules, budgets, and risk while reporting to senior stakeholders, ensuring quality, safety, and contractual compliance as you drive modern grid tech in critical facilities.

The role requires 10+ years of PM experience in power systems, with projects $15M+, and teams of 30+.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business, or related field.
10+ years of combined experience in Engineering and Project Management.
Experience delivering projects valued at $15M+.
Experience leading multidisciplinary teams (>30 resources).
Customer-facing project management with executive-level communication.
Working knowledge of SAS and SCADA systems; data center electrical infrastructure.
Experience FAT, SAT, commissioning or energization.
Proficiency with Primavera P6 scheduling tools and SAP-based controls.
PMP certification preferred.
MBA or Master’s Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

Manage large and complex data center infrastructure projects from contract award through final acceptance.
Establish execution strategies, governance frameworks, communication plans, and stakeholder engagement approaches.
Coordinate cross-functional teams across engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, logistics, testing, and field execution activities.
Own project financial performance, including forecasting, cash flow management, revenue recognition, and margin protection.
Oversee contract administration, change order management, claims resolution, and commercial negotiations.
Develop and maintain integrated project schedules using Primavera P6 and drive critical path management activities.
Coordinate engineering, factory testing, system integration testing, delivery, commissioning, and energization milestones.
Provide technical oversight for SCADA, Substation Automation Systems, Protection & Control solutions, telecommunications, cybersecurity, and modular infrastructure projects.
Manage project risks, opportunities, mitigation plans, and contingency strategies throughout the lifecycle.
Serve as the primary customer-facing project representative, presenting project status, risks, and recovery plans to senior stakeholders.
