Job summary

Hitachi Energy in Raleigh, North Carolina seeks a Senior Project Manager to deliver large-scale data center infrastructure projects across North America. You will lead multi-disciplinary teams, manage budgets and schedules, and coordinate with customers, EPCs, suppliers, and executives to ensure safety, quality, and contractual compliance.

The role focuses on delivering projects valued from $10M to $50M+ and advancing modern grid technologies within critical power systems.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of combined engineering and project management experience in power/industrial sectors.
• Experience delivering projects valued at $15M+.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams (>30 resources) and manage customer-facing engagements.
• Strong knowledge of SAS and SCADA systems; E-House and cybersecurity basics.
• Proficient in Primavera P6 scheduling and SAP-based controls.
• PMP certification preferred; MBA or master’s degree preferred.
• Authorized to work in the United States; Bachelor’s degree required.

Responsibilities

• Manage large data center infrastructure projects from contract award through final acceptance.
• Develop execution strategies, governance, and stakeholder engagement plans.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, and field execution.
• Own project financial performance, including forecasting, cash flow, revenue recognition, and margins.
• Oversee contract administration, change orders, claims, and negotiations.
• Develop and maintain integrated project schedules using Primavera P6.
• Coordinate testing, delivery, commissioning, and energization milestones.
• Provide technical oversight for SAS, SCADA, and Protection & Control systems.
• Identify risks, opportunities, and mitigation plans throughout the lifecycle.
• Act as the primary customer-facing project representative to senior stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and guidelines.
