Job summary

Ensono seeks a Senior Hardware Specialist to guide day-to-day installation and upgrade of medium to large-scale data center hardware, under the Hardware Manager. Role involves server/network upgrades, cabling, and strict change control in a mission-critical environment.

Onsite at our Madison, WI location with regular local travel and up to 30% travel to Minnesota. FBI background check required; A+ and advanced certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate to bachelor’s degree preferred with 7+ years in data center hardware.
• Experience in lead roles within large-scale hardware environments.
• A+ and advanced server/network certifications are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate server and network hardware installations in data centers.
• Perform server upgrades (memory, disks, CPUs) under change control.
• Develop processes to strengthen facilities and hardware operations.
• Log, analyze, and resolve client issues with root-cause focus.
• Maintain cabinet layouts and raised flooring for optimal cooling.
• Coordinate electrical, cooling, and power requirements for cabinets.
• Assist in procurement of hardware and cabling for builds.
