Job summary

Nebius is seeking a Senior Hardware Support Engineer for its New Jersey data center operations. You will own production hardware reliability across large-scale, mission-critical environments, acting as the senior escalation point for complex hardware issues and coordinating with vendors and on-site teams to drive rapid resolution.

You will lead root cause analyses, validate fixes, and improve fleet-wide reliability with a structured problem-solving approach.

Qualifications

• Hands-on server hardware experience in data center or large-scale environments.
• Proven ability to perform root cause analysis of hardware/firmware failures.
• Experience coordinating with vendors and engineering to resolve issues.
• Structured problem solving using IT or incident management methods.
• Analytical skills to interpret logs, telemetry and error patterns.
• Ability to coordinate activities with on-site operations teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead root cause analysis for complex hardware and firmware failures.
• Aggregate recurring problems to identify systemic reliability issues.
• Serve as senior escalation point for hardware incidents.
• Coordinate diagnostics, RMAs, firmware fixes with vendors.
• Collaborate with internal teams to validate fixes and prevent recurrence.
• Perform hardware/firmware validation before fleet-wide rollout.
• Drive incident investigations using ITPM methodologies.
• Support on-site teams during critical hardware events.
• Improve observability, failure tracking and reporting processes.
• Contribute to long-term hardware reliability strategy.
