Job summary

Nebius is seeking a Senior Hardware Support Engineer to own reliability of production hardware in large-scale data center environments. You will lead root-cause investigations, coordinate with vendors, and work with internal teams to implement durable fixes across the fleet.

The role requires deep hardware expertise, strong problem-solving, and the ability to manage multiple investigations with production impact. Onsite work in Birmingham, AL, with competitive benefits and an annual bonus.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with server hardware in large data-center/production environments.
• Proven ability to perform root-cause analysis on hardware/firmware failures.
• Experience working with vendors and engineering teams to resolve production issues.
• Structured problem-solving using ITIL/incident-management methodologies.
• Strong ability to read logs and telemetry for failure patterns.
• Experience coordinating technical activities with on-site teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead root cause analysis for hardware/firmware failures across production fleets.
• Aggregate recurring problems to identify systemic reliability issues.
• Act as senior escalation point for hardware incidents affecting availability.
• Coordinate with vendors for diagnostics, RMAs, firmware fixes, and corrective actions.
• Partner with internal engineers to validate fixes and prevent recurrence.
• Validate hardware/firmware changes before fleet-wide rollout.
• Drive structured incident investigations using problem management methodologies.
• Support on-site teams during critical hardware events.
• Improve hardware observability, failure tracking, and reporting processes.
• Contribute to long-term hardware reliability strategy.
