Iron Mountain’s Critical Facilities Technician role operates in a 24x7 data center environment, focusing on electrical, HVAC, and building management systems. You will monitor critical power, cooling, security, and manage service tickets, performing limited maintenance to ensure uptime.

Strong safety focus and the ability to handle varied shifts are essential. The role emphasizes teamwork, rapid issue resolution, and ongoing professional development within Iron Mountain’s global data center

Qualifications

• 0-2 years experience in a critical operations environment and/or data center experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Chiller Plant systems-Trane,York,Multi Stack, Web Control BMS, STS switches, and UPS Maintenance bypass.
• Multi tasking and using several systems to manage ticket queues and tasks.
• Attention to detail and adherence to safety codes and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Proactively support safety of the environment and occupants and follow safety procedures.
• Monitor critical power, cooling/environmental, security and support systems to meet up-time service levels.
• Perform limited maintenance to ensure smooth operation of data center HVAC and facilities.
• Monitor and update all service tickets in IMDC’s ticketing system.
• Assist with customer installations of electrical and physical equipment.
• Take daily readings of mechanical and electrical equipment and inspect for unsafe conditions.
• Identify issues and take steps to resolve them.
• Assist with service delivery tasks as needed.
