Job summary

JLL is seeking a Critical Facility Manager – Critical Environments in the Los Angeles area to lead operations for Data Center environments, ensuring safety, compliance, and uptime across 24/7 sites in Alhambra and Irvine. You will guide a team, coordinate with vendors, and report to senior management.

The role requires 5+ years in data centers, strong leadership, and experience with complex systems. This onsite position offers growth, competitive compensation of $155k–$165k per year, and

Qualifications

• 5+ years work experience in Data Centers or Critical Facilities with leadership responsibilities and people management expertise.
• Experience with systems, emergency generators, switchgears, ups, hvac, fls.
• Strong ability to read and interpret technical documents, safety rules, and maintenance instructions.
• Strong leadership and relationship building skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and problem-solving ability.
• Excellent communication skills, including report writing and effective speaking to leadership groups.
• Proficiency with technical drawings, specifications, and measuring instruments.
• Experienced in communications through of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access).
• Demonstrated leadership ability, presentation capabilities, and organizational skills.
• Experience utilizing CMMS platforms.
• Prior demonstration of Life Cycle Asset Management strategy planning and implementation.
• Knowledge of standard business and accounting practices.

Responsibilities

• Developing strategic initiatives and operational plans for Critical Environment operations.
• Leading and directing critical vendors and operational staff, including unionized workforce.
• Overseeing large projects by PDS team and managing smaller, in-house projects by Data Center Critical team.
• Monitoring data center performance and adherence to SLAs/KPIs.
• Driving continuous improvement to enhance efficiency, reduce downtime, and minimize risks.
• Overseeing budget planning, forecasting, and cost control.
• Acting as primary point of contact for senior management, clients, partners, and vendors.
• Managing relationships with strategic vendors and contractors.
• Evaluating and implementing innovative solutions to enhance efficiency, security, and sustainability.
• Ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Onsite presence at Alhambra and Irvine critical locations as required.
• Serving as 24/7 on-call leader during emergencies to guide the team to rapid resolution.
