Job summary

Brunel is seeking a Senior Estimator to support a large-scale data center project in Waco, TX. The role focuses on developing and reviewing cost estimates across the project lifecycle, collaborating with engineering, construction, procurement, subcontractors, and project management teams.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in construction or capital cost estimating, with experience on large-scale industrial or commercial projects and a track record in cost control, value engineering, and bid

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in construction or capital cost estimating.
• Experience with large-scale construction projects.
• Experience developing detailed estimates for labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and construction activities.
• Experience performing quantity takeoffs and reviewing drawings and specifications.
• Practical understanding of construction methods, productivity, materials, and field activities.
• Experience reviewing subcontractor bids and validating construction pricing.
• Ability to work with engineering and construction teams throughout the estimating process.

Responsibilities

• Prepare estimates based on project scope, drawings, specifications, quantities, labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor pricing.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and develop cost breakdowns for construction activities.
• Review drawings, specifications, and project documents to identify quantities and cost impacts.
• Solicit, review, and validate subcontractor and supplier quotes.
• Develop estimates at different stages from conceptual to detailed construction estimates.
• Prepare and maintain estimate basis documents, assumptions, pricing information, and supporting documentation.
• Analyze labor productivity, material costs, equipment requirements, and construction methods.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Project Controls, and Project Management teams.
• Participate in estimate review meetings and present cost information to stakeholders.
