Job summary

Meta is seeking an experienced Energy Manager to support the development of cost-effective energy solutions for its growing data center fleet in the U.S. You will shape energy infrastructure strategies, coordinate with utilities, internal teams and partners, and lead negotiations on interconnection and supply agreements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 12+ years of relevant work experience in energy or utility sectors.
• Knowledge of transmission, distribution and interconnection processes.
• Experience managing large-scale energy projects.
• Strong communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proficiency with Excel and presentation tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop overarching and site-specific energy infrastructure strategies for Meta’s data centers.
• Establish and communicate energy requirements to internal and external stakeholders.
• Lead negotiations for energy infrastructure agreements and present recommendations for approval.
• Manage due diligence, site development, construction, commercial agreements and operational processes for energy-related matters.
• Lead communication and deliverables between utility partners, internal stakeholders, and consultants.
• Negotiate deal terms and analyze capacity scenarios to maximize options.
• Deliver new commercial agreements enabling capacity and fungible options.
• Build relationships with site selection, engineering, data center design, construction, and finance teams.
• Identify and drive process improvements to reduce time and cost.
