Job summary

Meta seeks a seasoned Public Policy professional to join the Economic Policy team, focusing on the policy landscape around data center infrastructure, energy, site selection, and environmental considerations. You will partner with internal and external stakeholders to shape strategies that impact Meta’s energy goals and operations.

The role requires direct experience in energy policy at state or federal levels and a track record of delivering strategic initiatives that align with business needs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in energy policy with a focus on policy to support business needs.
• Experience coordinating multiple workstreams and meeting deadlines across teams.
• Ability to develop and implement strategic policy initiatives.
• Experience working with large cross-functional groups including technical teams.
• Understanding of infrastructure, energy policy and economic development topics.

Responsibilities

• Support the execution of cross-functional policy initiatives related to data center infrastructure, energy, and economic development, site selection and environmental policy issues.
• Identify and track energy and data center infrastructure related legislation across US States and Federal levels.
• Work with internal teams, trade associations and external consultants on policy issues affecting Meta data centers.
• Support policy and engagement strategies informed by business needs, research, and public opinion.
• Facilitate alignment across internal teams and external partners, including trade associations.
• Prepare summaries and memos on infrastructure and energy policies to support external engagement.
• Support other policy issues such as tax and trade as needed.
