Job summary

Meta is seeking an experienced Energy Manager to support the development of cost-effective energy solutions for its growing data-center fleet in the United States. You will contribute to Meta’s data center energy strategy by supporting energy infrastructure arrangements through site selection, construction and operations.

Your responsibilities include developing interconnection and energy supply agreements, monitoring milestones, and building relationships with internal and external partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a directly related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 12+ years of relevant work experience with energy projects, utilities, or energy-intensive industries.
• Working knowledge of transmission, distribution and interconnection processes and electrical infrastructure.
• Experience with project development and management for complex, large-scale projects.
• Demonstrated project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Experience communicating project status, risks, and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop overarching and site-specific energy infrastructure strategies for Meta’s data centers.
• Establish and communicate energy requirements to stakeholders.
• Lead negotiations for energy infrastructure agreements aligned with project needs and policies.
• Manage due diligence, site development, construction, commercial agreements and operational processes for energy matters.
• Lead communications between utility partners, internal teams, and consultants.
• Negotiate terms to balance capacity requirements and options for future flexibility.
• Build and maintain relationships with site teams, legal and finance counterparts.
• Identify and drive process improvements to save time and costs.
• Lead ad-hoc energy initiatives to deliver value.
• Travel domestically up to 25% as needed.
