Job summary

Rackspace Technology is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to serve as SME for electrical systems supporting data center environments. You will lead design, oversight, reliability, capacity management, and product selection for a rapidly expanding footprint.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure uptime, scalability, and operational efficiency, while maintaining compliance with NEC, NFPA, IEEE standards and data center best practices.

Qualifications

• Experience with data center electrical systems and power distribution.
• Knowledge of NEC, NFPA, IEEE standards for critical facilities.
• Ability to lead engineering design, reviews and approvals.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical authority for electrical infrastructure in data centers.
• Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of electrical issues.
• Manage electrical capacity planning for current and future growth.
• Perform load calculations and power utilization analysis.
• Evaluate resiliency, redundancy and risk for capacity expansions.
• Review equipment submittals and infrastructure standards.
