Job summary

CoreWeave is seeking a Senior Data Center Electrical Engineer to lead electrical infrastructure design for hyperscale data centers. You will review consultant work and ensure performance, efficiency, and safety across projects. Travel to data center sites is required.

Responsibilities include designing electrical systems, coordinating with IT/operations/vendors, and performing studies (short-circuit, load flow) to validate reliability and scalability of power hardware.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• 7+ years of data center engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of data center electrical systems (Substations, Generators, UPS, Lithium-Ion Battery Plants, Fire Alarm).
• Familiar with EPMS/SCADA systems and control sequences.
• Experience with large-scale, high-density data centers and cloud infrastructure.
• Excellent communication and project management skills.
• Professional certifications (e.g., Uptime Institute, BICSI) are a plus.
• Work authorization that does not require sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Execute electrical engineering design tasks for new data center facilities, including build-to-suit and tenant fit-out projects.
• Develop electrical design solutions to improve deployment speed, scalability, and repeatability.
• Review electrical drawings, specifications, and shop drawings for compliance with Basis of Design and company standards.
• Coordinate with third-party consultants, vendors, and internal teams to ensure cohesive designs.
• Perform short-circuit, coordination, arc-flash, and load-flow studies to validate performance and safety.
• Ensure compliance with industry codes, standards, and safety protocols throughout the project.
• Participate in factory witness testing, site inspections, and commissioning activities.
• Provide input on budgets, schedules, and resource planning for project execution.
• Support troubleshooting and corrective action on electrical design implementations.
• Contribute to a culture of innovation and technical excellence within the team.
• Lead due diligence on new sites, including utility availability and power constraints.
