Job summary

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. is seeking a Commissioning Specialist to support Data Center commissioning with leadership in electrical testing, start-up, and safety compliance. You will work onsite with owner and contractor teams to ensure operational performance aligns with design requirements.

The role requires 10+ years in electrical commissioning, strong NFPA/NETA/NICET knowledge, and the ability to travel up to 50%. A hybrid work model is available in the DC/Northern VA region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related discipline or equivalent years of experience.
• 10+ years of progressive experience as an electrical commissioning specialist.
• 2-3 years focused on L2/L3 documentation and leading L4/L5 testing for Data Center commissioning.
• Working knowledge of NFPA, NETA and NICET electrical testing and code requirements.
• Understanding of the Construction process.
• Must be able to clear a background check.
• Ability to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical commissioning activities, including QA/QC testing and start-up, to meet design requirements.
• Engage with owner’s stakeholders and contractors to achieve the best possible outcome for the owner/client.
• Support L0-L3 commissioning while overseeing L4-L5 testing for Data Center projects.
