Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Commissioning Specialist to support Data Center commissioning projects on-site. You will lead electrical commissioning activities, perform testing and start-up, and ensure environments meet design requirements and stakeholder expectations.

You will interact directly with clients, project stakeholders, and contractors to drive safe, reliable operations. The role requires 2–3 years of focused commissioning experience, plus NFPA/NETA/NICET knowledge and the ability to travel up

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience in related discipline.
2–3 years of focused experience as an electrical commissioning specialist on documenting L2/L3 activities and leading L4/L5 testing for Data Center commissioning.
Working knowledge of NFPA, NETA and NICET electrical testing and code requirements.
Understanding of the Construction process.
US Citizenship required; background check clearance.
Willingness and ability to travel up to 95%.
Ideally reside in Washington DC or Northern Va Metro area; travel expenses considered for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

Lead and perform electrical commissioning activities including testing (QA/QC, Functional Performance) and start-up of equipment and systems.
Oversee L0-L3 commissioning activities and coordinate with owners, clients, and contractors.
Collaborate with project stakeholders to achieve best outcomes for operational performance and efficiency.
