Job summary

Nscale is seeking a Senior Development Manager to drive the development of new AI data center sites across the Americas, guiding projects from site control through FID. You will manage budgets, schedules, and external partners, while mentoring junior team members and keeping programs on track for shovel-ready, powered sites.

You will coordinate across Energy and Power, Design, Preconstruction, and Sales, ensuring timely decisions and risk mitigation, and travel up to 25% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in real estate, engineering, construction management, finance or related field.
• 6+ years in data center, real estate or infrastructure development with progression toward construction.
• Data center or mission-critical facility development experience preferred.
• Hands-on development lifecycle: site control, due diligence, entitlements, permitting, and design coordination.
• Experience managing development budgets and schedules and contributing to FID/capital approval packages.
• Knowledge of power and utility interconnection and its role in deliverability.
• Able to manage multiple concurrent projects with external partners.
• Proficient in Google Suite and Microsoft Office tools.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Manage AI data center development projects from site control through diligence, entitlement, and FID.
• Develop and maintain development plans, budgets, and schedules to accelerate power and market readiness.
• Oversee day-to-day development lifecycle: site control, due diligence, entitlements, permitting, and utility coordination.
• Coordinate cross-functional workstreams and escalate risks to the Director.
