Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Senior Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor to support large-scale data center construction projects across the Phoenix metro area. This client-facing role provides cost management, commercial guidance, and quantity surveying services through the project lifecycle to help ensure successful project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Cost Management, or related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in cost management or quantity surveying within the construction industry.
• Experience leading cost management services on medium to large-scale construction projects, preferably mission-critical, data center, or industrial environments.

Responsibilities

• Estimate and negotiate change orders throughout the construction lifecycle.
• Provide estimating, cost planning, and commercial management services, including final cost plans.
• Review and participate with design teams and contractors in developing project cost estimates.
• Reconcile changes and assist contractors in validating quantity and pricing information.
• Meet with project stakeholders to gather status updates and prepare cost estimates and forecasts.
• Prepare written comments and executive summaries on contractor submissions.
• Coordinate all sources of cost information (pricing, quotations, proposals, design quantities).
• Provide commercial input on design decisions, value engineering opportunities, and cost impacts.
• Manage cost checks, valuations, forecasting and commitment tracking on large projects.
• Support contingency management, risk tracking, change control, and post-contract cost management processes.
• Prepare funding presentations and participate in value engineering workshops.
