Job summary

Oracle is seeking a Senior Engineer, SCADA and Controls Engineering to standardize and deploy BMS, BAS, EPMS, and SCADA across a global data center portfolio. You will collaborate with Data Center Design/Build, Operations, and vendors to validate designs, commissioning, and lifecycle support for reliable, high-availability environments.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of experience in data center engineering, mission-critical infrastructure, or industrial control systems.
• Experience supporting the design, integration, or deployment of BMS, BAS, EPMS, or SCADA systems in complex facilities.
• Familiarity with industrial communication protocols and OT networking.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement BMS, BAS, EPMS, and SCADA systems for data center builds and retrofit projects.
• Develop controls system standards, reference designs, and engineering specifications.
• Define controls architectures including topology, protocols, tagging, alarming, and historian requirements.
• Collaborate with mechanical and electrical teams for proper integration of controls platforms.
• Ensure interoperability between controls platforms, field devices, and enterprise monitoring/analytics.
• Participate in design reviews to validate standards and reliability.
• Provide input on instrumentation strategies and system integration.
• Identify technical risks and collaborate on mitigations.
• Support troubleshooting during design, construction, and commissioning.
• Support functional testing and commissioning with integrated systems.
• Validate vendor deliverables include point lists, tagging, metadata, and open protocol access.
• Validate alarm strategies, data integrity, and performance before handover.
• Contribute to RCA and post-incident reviews.
• Work with network/cybersecurity teams for secure controls architectures.
• Collaborate with vendors, integrators, and contractors to align with standards.
• Review vendor designs and submittals; incorporate feedback from operations.
