Job summary

STACK Infrastructure is seeking a seasoned Controls Engineer to join our Technical Operations team in Gainesville, VA. You will design, implement, and optimize BMS/EPMS across our data-center portfolio, driving reliability, energy efficiency, and seamless integration with IT and operations.

You will lead system integration efforts, validate metering for PUE/WUE, and mentor end users through training and turnover, while supporting after-hours critical events and a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in building automation and industrial control systems.
• Experience with hyperscale data center operations and modular designs.
• Proficiency with BACnet, Modbus, SNMP, MQTT, OPC UA and system integration.

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of mechanical/electrical sequences and BMS/EPMS programming.
• Standardize and optimize BMS programming; drive cross-site consistency.
• Analyze alarm trends, energy/water usage; propose optimization actions.
• Lead technical workstreams for system integration, commissioning, turnover.
• Provide troubleshooting leadership for controls events; perform RCA.
• Collaborate with IT, vendors, engineers to deliver portfolio projects.
