Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an experienced Controls Colo Engineer to lead data center projects from design through deployment, ensuring standardization and reliability across colocated and AWS-owned sites.

The role requires extensive experience in data center engineering, with a focus on building management, electrical, and control systems, plus teamwork with diverse stakeholders to deliver scalable, cost-efficient infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of data center design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance experience.
• 6+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities including but not limited to: data centers, power generation or oil and gas facilities experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Knowledge of critical data center mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Experience in data center design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance.
• Experience in industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities including but not limited to: data centers, power generation or oil and gas facilities.
• Experience researching new designs, technologies, and construction methods of data center equipment and facilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects to fit out the data centers we support to meet ever-evolving customer needs as we continue expanding our fleet to hyper-scale.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Business Development, Operations, and Commissioning to ensure design integrity.
• Review and approve construction drawings, specifications, and submittal documents to maintain AWS standards.
