Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is the world’s most comprehensive and broadly adopted cloud platform. We’re seeking a Controls Colo Engineer to lead data center control systems design, review, and deployment across AWS Colo Data Centers.

You will work with internal teams and colo vendors to implement standards, perform risk reviews, support upgrades, and drive improvements in availability and efficiency while mentoring others.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of data center design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance experience.
• 6+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities including data centers, power generation or oil and gas facilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Knowledge of critical data center mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Experience in data center design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance.
• Experience in industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities including but not limited to: data centers, power generation or oil and gas facilities.
• Experience researching new designs, technologies, and construction methods of data center equipment and facilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects to fit out data centers to meet evolving customer needs as we expand our fleet to hyper-scale.
• Coordinate with Design and Standards teams to develop and implement new and existing standards.
• Review and identify risks within Building Management and Electrical Power Monitoring systems for colo data centers.
