Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is hiring a Controls Colo Engineer to lead life‑cycle support for AWS Colo Data Centers from design to site improvements. You will collaborate with the control team to develop standards, review submittals, assess risks in BMS/EPMS, and drive capacity and efficiency improvements while ensuring safety and reliability across a growing global fleet.

You’ll work with cross‑functional teams and vendors, lead internal training on Colo controls, and help maintain the highest

Qualifications

• 6+ years of data center design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance experience.
• 6+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities including data centers, power generation or oil and gas facilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Knowledge of critical data center mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Experience in data center design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance.
• Experience in industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities including data centers, power generation or oil and gas facilities.
• Experience researching new designs, technologies, and construction methods of data center equipment and facilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Colo controls standards with CoDeS.
• Review designs and submittals for new Colo Data Centers to ensure consistent standards.
• Identify risks within BMS and EPMS for Colo Data Centers.
• Review controls drawings, wiring diagrams, and control software.
• Accept changes to site control infrastructure and document deviations when needed.
• Support upgrades and design-solutions to increase capacity and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot, perform RCA, and document corrective actions for control equipment.
