Job summary

The Weitz Company is seeking an experienced Senior Project Superintendent to lead field operations on data center projects in VA, OK, or WI. This role reports to the Senior Project Manager and focuses on profitable execution, safety culture, schedule management, and strong client and subcontractor relationships.

Ideal candidates will have 8+ years of GC experience, demonstrated leadership, and expertise in large-scale, lived-in construction types.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Project Superintendent experience.
• Experience leading and mentoring a team.
• Experience in senior living, student housing, hospitality or related lived-in projects is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary leader of subcontractors and field forces on a job site.
• Maintain project safety per company policy.
• Develop and update the project schedule and allocate resources.
• Prepare two-week look ahead schedules.
• Oversee daily construction activities ensuring quality, timelines, and budgets.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and manage performance and safety compliance.
• Conduct site inspections and address quality issues.
• Identify and resolve issues to maintain momentum and schedule.
• Update project schedules using scheduling software.
• Oversee buyout and selection of major subs.
• Manage all aspects of project execution including schedules, budgets, and quality.
• Supervise field personnel and subcontractors.
• Enforce safety protocols on site.
• Maintain communication with PMs, clients, and stakeholders.
• Coordinate subcontractor field forces.
• Communicate with owners, designers, and engineers as well as the project team.
• Maintain accurate cost reports.
• Ensure paperwork is complete and timely.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Provide opportunities for team development and growth.
• Foster positive relationships with internal and external parties.
