Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Construction Manager for a data center project in the United States. The role focuses on pre-construction and construction oversight, coordinating a team, reviewing contractor performance, and driving safety, schedule, and cost efficiency.

You will lead a professional field staff, manage subcontractors, and coordinate with Owners and Jacobs management to deliver quality outcomes on large-scale data center builds.

Qualifications

• At least 12 years of experience on large building or civil projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management or equivalent.
• Experience leading a Data Center project team and managing subcontractors/vendors.
• Knowledge of data center upfits and electrical/controls integration.
• Proven ability to read contracts, drawings and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-construction and construction planning, ensuring safety, cost and schedule targets.
• Develop and monitor construction schedule; lead daily/weekly contractor meetings.
• Audit contractor work quantities and review change orders.
• Coordinate BIM/Lean approaches and innovative modular solutions.
• Provide guidance on US construction practices and handle risk management.
