Job summary

Jacobs in the United States is seeking a Commissioning Specialist to support Data Center commissioning projects onsite, leading mechanical commissioning testing, start-up, and verification to meet design requirements and stakeholder expectations. You will work with owners, project stakeholders and contractors to drive operational performance.

The role emphasizes collaboration within Jacobs’ hybrid policy, travel up to 50%, and leveraging ASHRAE/NFPA knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related discipline or equivalent years of experience
• 10+ years of progressive experience as a mechanical commissioning specialist in activities such as Utility infrastructure, life safety, mechanical systems, plumbing systems, building/facility systems/components, building automation systems/controls and facility O&M
• 2-3 years of focused experience as a mechanical commissioning specialist on documenting L2/L3 activities and leading L4/L5 testing for Data Center commissioning
• Working knowledge ASHRAE, NFPA and Tab mechanical testing and code requirements
• Understanding of the Construction process
• US Citizenship
• Must be able to clear a background check
• Ability to travel up to 50%

Responsibilities

• Participate in onsite activities to support Data Center Commissioning projects, leading testing and start-up
• Oversee L0-L3 commissioning activities and coordinate with owner/client and contractors
• Ensure environments meet established design requirements and stakeholder expectations
• Lead and perform mechanical commissioning related activities including QA/QC, Functional Performance testing
