Job summary

Farmers and Merchants Bank of Long Beach is seeking a Senior Data Center & Cloud Network Engineer to design, implement, and secure enterprise data center and cloud networks across on‑prem and Azure environments. The role bridges traditional infrastructure with hybrid-cloud architecture and requires deep expertise in routing, switching, security, and network automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of progressively responsible experience in enterprise network engineering and administration.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
• Certifications preferred (CCNP/CCIE, Azure Network Engineer Associate or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise data center, core network, and cloud network infrastructure.
• Engineer universally available routing, switching, segmentation, and redundancy for business continuity.
• Configure and troubleshoot BGP, OSPF, TCP/IP, VLANs, NAT, DNS, DHCP, VPN services.
• Support connectivity across data centers, offices, and colocation facilities.
• Design and manage Azure networking services: VNets, subnets, peering, NSGs, Private Link/Endpoints, Private DNS.
• Architect hybrid cloud networking with ExpressRoute, VPN Gateway, Hub-and-Spoke, and Virtual WAN.
• Manage Azure security services: Firewall, App Gateway/WAF, Load Balancer, AKS, and PaaS networking.
• Oversee WAN: MPLS, Internet, VPN; evaluate SD-WAN and SASE technologies.
• Lead network modernization projects and document architecture standards.
