Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Civil Engineer to lead civil engineering designs for Amazon Data Centers as part of the East Design team.

You will guide design efforts, review layouts, and collaborate with architects, structural, and MEP engineers to ensure safe, efficient, and scalable data center sites. As a subject matter expert, you will drive standardization, provide technical guidance, and oversee vendors while supporting rapid delivery and cost-conscious design.

Qualifications

• P.E. license is required or equivalent.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent.
• 6+ years of commercial, warehouse, and/or industrial site-civil design experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage external civil design consultants through the Data Center design and construction process.
• Review site layout, grading, power substations, storm water, and utilities.
• Coordinate with internal and external architectural, structural, and MEP engineers.
• Develop preliminary site layouts using Civil 3D with grading, utilities, and circulation patterns.
• Create, review, and release design RFPs for DC projects.
