Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Global Strategy Engineer (Civil) to lead front-end engineering and site design strategy for new and expanded data centers.

You will drive due diligence, site master planning, and cross-team collaboration with Real Estate, Risk, Power, Water, and Environmental groups to ensure high-performance, cost-efficient designs. Ideal candidates have 4+ years in mission-critical engineering and a Bachelor's in Engineering.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Professional Engineer license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders during due diligence to oversee the process and ensure design requirements are met.
• Collaborate with internal teams to gather data to ensure prerequisites for start of design stage are met.
• Lead predesign phase, manage internal partners and external vendor consultants, ensuring design-ready deliverables are completed.
• Rollout strategy of new data center design types and intercepts that impact site master plans and design strategy.
• Provide engineering design decisions to partner teams for strategic planning and region selection.
• Collaborate with DCE teams to develop new data center infrastructure products and systems deployment approaches.
• Ability to work on concurrent projects in multiple geographical regions.
• Escalate issues clearly to diverse audiences and leaders.
