Job summary

Equiliem is seeking a Lead Structured Cabling Technician to lead complex fiber and copper cabling installations for large commercial and data center projects. The role combines hands-on work with team leadership, project coordination, and quality assurance.

The ideal candidate has extensive fiber infrastructure experience, a strong commitment to safety, productivity, and customer satisfaction, and the ability to manage diverse teams across sites.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Data Center Technician.
• Experience installing, terminating, testing, and splicing fiber optic cabling.
• Experience leading crews of 10+ technicians on commercial construction projects.
• High school diploma or GED; OSHA 10 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead installation teams on large-scale commercial and data center structured cabling projects.
• Install, dress, label, and terminate copper and fiber optic cabling.
• Perform ribbon and fusion fiber splicing and OTDR testing; troubleshoot systems.
• Read blueprints and installation documentation; coordinate with project teams and customers.
• Maintain safety and comply with OSHA standards and company procedures.
