Job summary

Equiliem seeks a Traveling Crew Lead to oversee large-scale structured cabling and fiber installations for data center projects. The role combines hands-on fiber work with leadership of field crews, ensuring safety, quality, and adherence to project requirements.

The position requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to coordinate with project leadership while working across multiple sites. Extensive travel and staying onsite for extended periods are common.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of data center technician experience.
• Minimum 5 years of fiber experience.
• Minimum 3 years of telecommunications or related technical field experience.
• Minimum 6 months of supervisory or managerial experience.
• Experience leading crews of approximately 5-15 team members.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Microsoft Project.
• OSHA 10 certification required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate field crews to complete large-scale structured cabling and data center projects safely and efficiently.
• Perform copper and fiber termination and splicing using appropriate equipment.
• Install, dress, route, manage, and label cabling according to project specs.
• Read, interpret blueprints, specifications, and rack elevations.
• Coordinate work with project leadership and onsite stakeholders.
• Maintain project documentation and communicate progress and changes.
