Job summary

Archetype Infrastructure Solutions is seeking a Lead Structured Cabling Technician (Division 27) to oversee field crews on hyperscale data center projects across the United States. The role blends hands‑on field work with leadership, coordinating daily work, production schedules, and quality installations.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of structured cabling experience, strong knowledge of copper and fiber, and proven leadership.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of structured cabling or Division 27 experience.
• Experience leading crews on commercial or data center projects.
• Strong knowledge of copper and fiber cabling, rack & stack, ladder rack and cable management.
• Ability to read blueprints and telecommunications drawings.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to travel 100% nationwide.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise structured cabling crews on active data center projects.
• Coordinate daily production and manpower assignments.
• Install, terminate, test, and certify copper and fiber optic cabling systems.
• Perform quality control inspections to meet customer specs.
• Monitor productivity and maintain project schedules.
• Mentor and train junior technicians.
• Coordinate with Project Managers and customer reps.
• Troubleshoot installation issues and resolve field challenges.
• Maintain accurate documentation and as-built information.
• Enforce OSHA safety standards and policies.
• Ensure compliance with TIA/EIA and BICSI standards.
