Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Construction Manager to lead scope, schedule, and budget for new builds and capital projects at our Indiana data centers.

You will coordinate with Operations, Networking, Controls, Security, and Commissioning to deliver high‑reliability facilities that support AWS customers. The role requires 6+ years in construction management of large MEP projects or a related degree plus experience, with strong contractor and vendor management.

Qualifications

• Experience constructing electrical engineering systems including large scale power distribution/generation gear and mechanical engineering systems including cooling systems.
• 6+ years of experience in construction management of large, complex projects involving large-scale mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) plants.
• 6+ years of general contractor and vendor management experience (RFPs, bidding, change orders, quality control, and RFI/submittal tracking)

Responsibilities

• Own project scope, quality, schedule, and budget for construction of new builds or capital projects.
• Own construction project management and oversight of construction related activities.
• Represent Amazon’s owner’s representative on construction sites daily, interacting with construction trades.
• Create construction project scope and RFPs.
• Conduct negotiations with general contractors and evaluate bids and proposals with detail and accuracy.
• Manage cost, schedule, and quality while coordinating contractors and vendors.
• Drive construction teams to troubleshoot and perform root‑cause failure analysis on equipment.
• Support commissioning and integrated system testing and oversight.
