GovCIO is seeking a Data Engineer/Architect to support VA healthcare data integration within the Corporate Data Warehouse (CDW). You will analyze source databases like VistA and Millennium, design database objects, and develop models to enable scalable enterprise data ingestion with PHI/PII compliance.

The role requires advanced T-SQL, SSIS/SSAS skills, and strong collaboration with DBAs, SMEs, and ETL teams. This is a fully remote position within the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or engineering with 14+ years of experience, or master's with 10+ years.
• Experience with Millennium, VistA, ADR, MVI, GeoSpatial, PIT.
• Strong T-SQL, indexing, partitioning, query optimization.
• Experience with SSIS/SSAS and Power BI.
• Knowledge of CDW standards, data governance, PHI/PII handling.

• Analyze source systems to define data structures, relationships, and PHI/PII classification.
• Design and maintain database objects for CDW ingestion.
• Build conceptual, logical, and physical data models for enterprise data integration.
• Document transformations and source-to-target mappings and data lineage.
