Job summary

CI&T is seeking a Data Architect Senior for a hands-on technical leadership role with a US-based EdTech client. You will guide data team efforts across ingestion, lakehouse design, modeling, governance and serving layers while aligning with security, performance and cost objectives.

You will drive architectural decisions, ensure data quality, and collaborate with client stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable data solutions.

Qualifications

• Advanced English proficiency for North American stakeholders.
• Proven experience in data architecture design and hands-on technical leadership.
• Experience designing, building, and deploying data pipelines and lakehouse architectures at scale.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks and data services in cloud environments.
• Strong data modeling skills across dimensional and relational approaches with SQL.

Responsibilities

• Lead the data team technically, guiding design, development and maintenance of data products and pipelines.
• Define target data architecture including ingestion, lakehouse, data modeling, governance and serving layers.
• Drive solution design by translating business requirements into workable data solutions.
• Collaborate with client architects and leaders, presenting options and trade-offs.
• Enforce standards for data quality, access control, lineage and privacy.
• Maintain CI/CD and DataOps practices for reliable delivery.
• Lead current-state assessments and knowledge transfer during transitions.
• Develop proofs of concept to validate architectural approaches.
• Stay connected to CI&T’s data practice and methodologies.
