Verizon is seeking a Senior Data Leader to design, build, and optimize our enterprise data architecture, driving strategic insights and high-impact decisions.

You will lead end-to-end data pipelines, manage cloud-based warehouses, and integrate modern DevOps into our data ecosystem, with a focus on SQL and Python. This remote role offers flexibility within the US and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of work experience.
• 6+ years relevant experience in data leadership.
• 5+ years hands-on ETL/ELT development.
• Experience in Data Modeling, Data Warehousing, System Architecture.
• Expert-level proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Hands-on expertise with cloud platforms (AWS and/or GCP).

Responsibilities

• Designing and building scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines from diverse sources to cloud platforms.
• Architecting robust data models (conceptual, logical, physical) to support reporting and analytics.
• Managing and modernizing enterprise data storage across Teradata and cloud platforms.
• Implementing DevOps and CI/CD best practices for data pipelines.
• Optimizing SQL queries and Python scripts to improve throughput and latency.
• Evaluating and integrating innovative data technologies, including AI/ML, into the data infrastructure.
