Job summary

Versant Media, part of the Fandango group, seeks a senior Data Engineer to design and develop data pipelines, data marts, and schemas for our data warehouses and analytics. You will own ETL/ELT processes, perform query tuning, and collaborate with business users to deliver scalable solutions.

This fully remote US-based role requires 7+ years in data warehousing, 2+ years Redshift/NoSQL, and experience with Airflow, AWS Glue, and cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of data warehousing / OLAP experience.
• 7+ years multidimensional database architecture and design experience.
• 5+ years of SQL experience.
• 3+ years of Python experience.
• 2+ years of Redshift experience.
• 2+ years of NoSQL experience.
• Experience with AWS Glue and Airflow.
• Experience with API.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop data pipelines, data marts, and schemas for data warehouses and analytics.
• Tuning queries, developing tables, stored procedures, and functions in tsql/psql.
• Develop ETL/ELT processes and monitor data warehouses and data marts.
• Develop and support data pipelines in Airflow, AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory, Python, Golang.
• Work with cloud environments Azure, AWS, GCP and troubleshoot production data issues.
• Communicate with business users and project managers to resolve business problems.
• Mentor other Data Engineers and identify software solutions for new projects.
• Weekly reporting to management on project status and issues.
• Provide on-call production support.
