Job summary

Oscar Health in Tempe, AZ is seeking a Senior Analyst, Data Analytics, SIU to partner across the organization to analyze and monitor key financial and utilization metrics, reducing waste and delivering higher-quality care for members. This role reports to the Manager, SIU Data Analytics & Reporting.

The position requires a hybrid schedule with 3 in-office days per week, including Thursdays for team meetings.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience with analytical tools and reporting.
• Experience handling large datasets and distilling analyses into insights.
• Strong communication skills for business reporting impact across technical and non-technical users.
• Proficiency in SQL; Python or R with statistics experience.
• Excel or Google Sheets with advanced functions (VLOOKUP, nested if).
• 1+ years in healthcare, finance or insurance industry.

Responsibilities

• Analyze data to support business teams in data-driven decisions.
• Tell a data story that stakeholders can understand.
• Oversee dashboards and analytics reports; adapt as needs evolve.
• Create models/tools to identify and remove inefficiencies.
• Collaborate to identify actions and monitor initiative impact.
• Support strategic projects as needed; ensure compliance with regulations.
