Job summary

Oscar Health is hiring a Senior Analyst, Data Analytics, SIU to join our SIU team in New York. The role focuses on analyzing data to reduce inefficiencies and support data-driven decision making across the organization.

You will report to the Manager, SIU Data Analytics & Reporting, with a hybrid 3-days-in-office schedule in NYC. Base pay ranges from $86,628 to $109,761 and includes benefits, unlimited vacation, and annual bonuses.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of technical work experience with analytical tools and writing analytical reports.
• Experience in working with large datasets and distilling analyses into insights with structured thinking.
• Strong communication skills, including reporting to non-technical audiences on at least 2 projects.
• Experience in SQL, or proficiency in R or Python with Pandas, statistical tests, and data wrangling.
• Proficiency in Google Sheets or Excel with VLOOKUP, nested IF statements, and connected Sheets.
• 1+ years experience in healthcare, finance or the insurance industry.

Responsibilities

• Analyze data to support business teams in making data-driven decisions.
• Tell stories with data that non-technical colleagues can understand and present findings clearly.
• Oversee creation and maintenance of dashboards and update them as user needs evolve.
• Create models/tools to identify inefficiencies and generate actionable insights.
• Collaborate across the organization to identify actions and monitor impact.
• Support strategic projects as needed and ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
