Job summary

The Options Clearing Corporation (OCC) is seeking a 12-week summer intern in Chicago to work on analytics and data engineering projects. The role focuses on building dashboards, querying large datasets, and collaborating across teams in a hybrid setting.

You will gain hands-on experience with SQL, Python, Tableau, and cloud concepts while contributing to the analytics data warehouse and ETL processes under supervised guidance.

Qualifications

• Rising senior or second-year graduate student (graduating Dec 2027 or May/Aug 2028).
• Majors: Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain interactive Tableau dashboards to visualize key metrics.
• Write and optimize SQL queries for large datasets from multiple sources.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver insights.
• Leverage Claude Code and other AI tools to accelerate development and documentation.
• Collaborate with business users and technical teams to enable data access for analysts.
