Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Facets Data Analytics & Automation Consultant (Remote - US). This role focuses on delivering data-driven insights and automation across healthcare payer operations. You will collaborate with leaders and teams to build scalable analytics and automation capabilities.

Responsibilities include complex SQL, dashboards, automation using Python, APIs, and workflow tools, plus data profiling and documentation. A remote US-friendly setup supports flexible work arrangements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 7+ years of healthcare payer technology, data analytics, or reporting experience.
• 4+ years of experience with Facets data structures, processes, and healthcare payer operations.
• Advanced SQL expertise, including query optimization, data extraction, reconciliation, and large-scale relational database analysis.
• Experience designing, developing, and supporting analytics, reporting, or automation solutions from requirements through production deployment.
• Strong understanding of healthcare payer data domains (claims, membership, provider, benefits, billing, financial).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze Facets data across membership, provider, claims, product, benefits, billing, and financial domains to identify trends and opportunities.
• Develop complex SQL queries, reconciliations, operational reports, dashboards, and analytical solutions.
• Design and implement automation solutions using SQL, Python, APIs, scripting, and workflow tools to reduce manual effort and improve accuracy.
• Create automated monitoring, data validation, and reporting processes for payer operations.
• Perform data profiling, root-cause analysis, testing, and validation to improve data quality and controls.
• Build and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, audit controls, and support procedures.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver business-focused analytics solutions.
