Grant Thornton (US) is seeking a Transaction Advisory - Data Analytics Senior Associate in New York to deliver data-driven insights across the transaction lifecycle for private equity and corporate clients.

You will transform large datasets into actionable business and financial insights using Python, Alteryx, Excel, and visualization tools, while communicating recommendations to diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Analytics, or related discipline required (Statistics/CS/Math may be considered with relevant experience).
• 4+ years of data analytics experience within transaction advisory, M&A advisory, or similar professional services.
• Experience analyzing complex financial/customer/operational data to support transaction-related conclusions.
• Strong proficiency in Python and Alteryx for data cleaning, structuring, analyzing, and modeling large datasets.

Responsibilities

• Support multiple client engagements across the transaction lifecycle, including acquisitions and divestitures.
• Partner with engagement teams to define business questions, data requirements, and analytical approaches.
• Extract, clean, combine, validate, and analyze large datasets using Python, SQL, Alteryx, Excel and related tools.
• Develop dashboards and executive-level presentations communicating findings to clients.
