Job summary

VIA is seeking a Data Analytics Engineer to transform raw data into clear narratives powering client decisions. You’ll work on AI-enabled data products, data quality, and scalable pipelines in a high-velocity Agile environment, collaborating with software engineers, data peers, and delivery teams.

You’ll translate domain insights into data infrastructure, ensure data integrity, and drive automated checks while leveraging AI capabilities to enhance data products across the platform.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a data-driven role or equivalent in data-related projects
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in science, mathematics, engineering, or a data-driven field
• Proficiency in Python, R, or equivalent language
• Proficient in two of: SQL/PostgreSQL, data science libraries (NumPy, pandas), data pipelines (Dagster, Airflow, dbt), cloud providers (AWS/Azure)

Responsibilities

• Understand data and domain: translate domain knowledge into data infrastructure requirements and validate assumptions
• Build AI-powered data products: interactive analysis, data quality reports, and AI-enhanced features
• Oversee data pipelines: design, quality, and reliability of ETL/ELT pipelines and data tests
• Improve the platform: contribute to internal tools for data cleaning, modeling and analytics
