Job summary

Stride, Inc. is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to partner with school executives to identify key performance metrics, state funding drivers, enrollment trends, and retention dynamics.

You will translate business requirements into scalable analytical models using Python and SQL and deliver actionable insights, reporting, and decision-support tools. Required: advanced SQL and Python, experience with Power BI or Tableau and Snowflake, plus strong communication with senior leaders.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of experience in data analytics, financial analytics, business intelligence, or a related role.
• Ability to clear the required background check.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and proficiency in Python for data analysis, modeling, and automation.
• Demonstrated ability to translate complex business rules into structured calculations and analytical models.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data validation skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with stakeholders and senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Partner directly with school executives and stakeholders to understand performance drivers and analytical needs.
• Translate state funding methodologies and compliance requirements into mathematical models using Python and SQL.
• Develop, maintain, and validate models, datasets, and dashboards for key metrics, funding, compliance, enrollment, and retention.
• Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and drivers affecting performance.
• Develop and analyze student retention metrics across schools and populations.
• Document rules, data definitions, and processes to ensure accuracy and scalability.
