Job summary

MetLife is seeking a seasoned Data Analyst to translate complex business needs into scalable data solutions. You will partner with leaders, design data models, validate loads, and guide offshore delivery.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in data analytics, strong SQL, and experience with data warehouses and Medallion architectures; knowledge of DDD and data storytelling is valued; hybrid in Cary, NC with 3 days in office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent and 5+ years in data analytics.
• Strong SQL, data profiling, data quality validation, and data storage concepts.
• Experience with both RDBMS and document databases and data warehouses/ data lakes.
• Knowledge of Medallion architecture, DDD, and translating requirements into scalable data solutions.
• Excellent data storytelling and ability to present to technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Understand business requirements and author functional requirements for data solutions.
• Solve complex business problems using data and advanced technologies.
• Analyze data in the context of business processes and requirements.
• Provide inputs to data architecture, governance, modeling, quality and data science teams.
• Validate data loaded by engineering teams and lead design, solutions, and estimations.
• Provide people leadership: coach, develop and engage talent.
• Collaborate with global teams, including offshore resources, to deliver data engineering solutions.
