Job summary

MetLife in the United States is seeking a Senior Data Engineer & Analyst to design, develop, and deliver scalable data solutions that enable trusted, analytics-ready data across the Data & Analytics organization.

You will partner with business and tech stakeholders, implement modern data engineering practices on cloud platforms (Databricks, Azure), and drive end-to-end data initiatives with Agile delivery. This hybrid role requires at least 3 days in the office in Massachusetts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
• 5-8 years of data engineering, BI, data integration, or related disciplines.
• ETL/ELT pipelines and data solutions using SQL and Python/Scala.
• Experience with Databricks and cloud-based data technologies.
• Experience delivering end-to-end data engineering initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and build scalable Databricks-based ETL/ELT pipelines and analytics-ready data products across Azure and on-prem environments.
• Partner with business stakeholders to translate priorities into scalable data and analytics solutions.
• Contribute to end-to-end delivery of complex, cross-domain data initiatives using Agile/SAFe practices.
• Design, build, and estimate solutions independently; monitor and optimize production pipelines for reliability and security.
• Collaborate with D&A team to share expertise and promote a culture of learning and innovation across data domains.
