Job Summary

The Senior Data Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of student-level data. This position is responsible for managing and analyzing large datasets, supporting data collection processes, and ensuring adherence to federal and state reporting requirements. The Data Analyst will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop and maintain data standards, extract meaningful insights, and generate reports that support informed decision‑making. Additionally, this role will contribute to the design and implementation of web‑based data collection projects, assist in organizing accountability systems, and provide technical support for data management initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, proficiency in data extraction and analysis tools, and keen attention to detail in maintaining data accuracy and compliance.

Please note: this role does not allow for any form of remote work, including telecommuting or hybrid arrangements. The nature of this position necessitates a consistent in‑person presence. Prospective candidates should be aware that the responsibilities associated with this role require physical presence at the designated workplace in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Essential Functions

• Data Compliance and Reporting: Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to facilitate compliance with federal and state reporting requirements; guarantee the accurate and timely submission of essential state data; assist with federal and state reporting requirements, ensuring compliance and timely submission.
• Data Extraction and Analysis: Utilize programming languages to extract data from diverse sources and distill findings into actionable recommendations for decision‑making, design, and issue resolution; analyze, manage, and support large datasets within established parameters; produce reports utilizing student‑level information in response to specific requests.
• Data Management and Support: ensure efficient and effective handling of valuable information by enhancing data collection and management processes; actively contribute to the design and implementation of web‑based data collection projects targeting student‑level data; assist in the organization and validation of accountability systems and educational data; maintain and organize data for use in the State Accountability System.
• Technical Contribution: Demonstrate subject matter expertise in business rules, supporting datasets, and data integrity processes for identified state and federal reports.
• Operational Support: Provide high‑tier technical assistance, training, and troubleshooting to school districts. Produce custom, student‑level reports in response to legislative, agency, or public requests. Proactively resolve inquiries, building trust through transparency and open communication.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Informatics, Management Information Systems, or a related field dealing with quantitative data [official transcripts required upon hire];
• Two (2) years of experience using data management systems, including creating intermediate to advanced SQL queries, stored procedures or functions; and analytic tools such as Excel, R, Power BI, SAS, and SPSS;
• Or an equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities

Special Requirements

• Must possess a valid driver's license from a U.S. state or territory to perform necessary job‑related travel;
